The new iOS 4 software update allows iPhone owners to lock their screen orientations within any few simple steps. This can be useful to avoid undesired screen orientation changes during iPhone use. Anyone able about multitasking on one iPhone will be easily able to lock the screen orientation.

Things You'll Need
iPhone, 3GS or after
iOS 4 or later
1 Double-tap the iPhone's residence button to take upwards the multitasking menu bar at the bottom of the screen.
2 Scroll through the multitasking dock items from swiping any finger across the diverse application icons.
3 Position the gray icon that depicts an image of a lock by way of a circular arrow around it.
4 Touch the lock icon to lock the iPhone's screen orientation.
